Grassroots Rugby Meat Pies is launching its Try of the Season competition, giving players the opportunity to put their moment of brilliance on a national stage and win an amazing £500 prize bundle.

How It Works

We have kept the format simple, exciting and easy to enter.

  • Players or clubs submit their best try of the season

  • All entries are reviewed once submissions close

  • A shortlisted compilation will be published across our social media channels

  • The grassroots rugby community votes

  • One winning try is crowned Try of the Season

How to Submit Your Try

Entering is straightforward.

​

1️⃣ Choose your best try of the season

2️⃣ Send your video via WhatsApp to:📱 07767 455985

3️⃣ Keep the clip to 20 seconds or less

4️⃣ Include the following details in your message:

  • Player name

  • Club name

  • Fixture details

  • Email address

 

You must also follow our Instagram and Facebook pages so we can tag you if your try is shortlisted.

Key Dates

🚀 Launch date: 13 April

📅 Submission deadline: 21 April
📢 Shortlist published: 24 April
🏆 Winner announced:  01 May

All entries must be submitted via WhatsApp by 21 April.

 

Once submissions close, every try will be reviewed and the shortlisted tries will be released for public voting. After submitting, make sure you follow us on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok so you don’t miss the shortlist announcements.
