GIVING BACK

Rugby has always been more than a game. It is a family. A community that rallies when someone is injured, stands shoulder to shoulder in difficult times and turns up when it matters most. That responsibility to look after one another sits at the core of grassroots rugby and it sits firmly at the heart of this platform.

As we grow this channel and the community around it, we remain conscious that not everyone’s journey is straightforward. That is precisely why giving back matters. Support where you can. Step forward when you can. When a united rugby community moves together, even small actions create meaningful impact.

Both Olly and I have previously led rugby-driven charitable initiatives, collectively raising over £70,000 for important causes. We are proud of that work, but we believe this platform gives us the opportunity to go further. Grassroots Rugby Meat Pies is not simply here to showcase brilliant tries; it is here to strengthen the game off the field as well as on it.

That is why we are proud to support LooseHeadz and the vital work they do to promote mental fitness across the rugby community. LooseHeadz provides a safe and inclusive space for players, coaches, volunteers and supporters. Their mission is clear: place a mental health lead in every rugby club and tackle stigma head on. Through free resources, education and ongoing support, they are helping clubs look after their own properly.

As part of our commitment to making a genuine and lasting difference, we will:

• DONATE: 20% of any revenue generated by the channel to our chosen charity partner.

• ORGANISE: Community-driven pop-up events that bring people together while raising funds and awareness for the cause.

 

While Try of the Week may be the engine of this channel, celebrating the skill, flair and passion of the grassroots game, this charitable commitment provides its heart and purpose. We are hoping with our pop up events, we can hit a target of £20,000 raised for LooseHeadz in the 26/27 season.
